Serrano, El Dorado Hills

Serrano,  El Dorado Hills is one of Northern California's largest master planned communities and also one of its most sought after places to live. Residents enjoy beautifully maintained landscapes, 24 hour roaming security, 17 miles of walking trails, 1000 open acres, and many amazing events and activities put on just for the community throughout the year! Serrano's environmental focus is evident by more than 50,000 native trees planted to compliment the magnificent and mature Heritage Oaks that have been preserved. Serrano set a precedent back in 1999 by expanding its use of recycled water from the golf course, parks and greenbelts to residents' front and backyards to conserve water. The recycled water is delivered through a series of purple-colored pipes that are separate from drinking water pipelines in a number of villages. This system put Serrano at the forefront of environmentally-sensitive development and greatly improves the community's ability to support potable water conservation measures.
